Children investigate the week’s challenge through discussion, research, reading and practical exploration.
Hands-on experiments bring a different question to life each week.
Children apply Maths to the real-world problem they are investigating — from measurement and data collection to calculations and reasoning.
Children continue building research and creative problem-solving skills through guided inquiry. They design and test practical solutions, from DIY prototypes to written and visual materials, refining their ideas as they learn.
Children are explicitly taught and practise the skills they need to communicate clearly — preparing what to say and show, presenting, using their body language and developing audience awareness. The day ends by sharing their work, reflecting on what they have learned and thinking about what they want to explore next.
