Living on Mars
Could humans build a home beyond Earth?
Edventurer is a part-time learning hub in Cambridge offering project-based learning rooted in real-world challenges. Children build the thinking tools and human skills to navigate an uncertain future — solving unfamiliar problems, thinking critically, communicating with confidence and working well with others — alongside strong academic foundations in literacy, numeracy and oracy.
Learning Adventures are at the heart of Edventurer, bringing together real-world exploration, academic foundations and the skills children need for the future.
Each Adventure begins with a bold mission. Children ask questions, build knowledge across disciplines, create their own project — and present it to a real audience at the end.
Could humans build a home beyond Earth?
How can we give waste a new life through recycling and upcycling?
How do ideas become businesses people buy from?
Why do tiny creatures matter?
Where does the energy come from?
How can we create spaces where people love to play?
Children learn to approach unfamiliar problems, question assumptions, judge what to trust and make sound decisions using reusable thinking frameworks they can apply across subjects and real-life situations.
The toolkit includes age-appropriate versions of frameworks used to solve real-world problems such as design thinking (understand the people you are designing for), computational thinking (break complex problems into smaller steps), systems thinking (see how different parts affect one another) and first-principles thinking (separate what we know from what we assume).
Through projects and mini-workshops, children learn to work with others, understand different perspectives, give and receive constructive feedback and take initiative. Every Adventure ends with each child presenting their work to a real audience. In getting there, they develop storytelling, public speaking and confidence, and build resilience and self-direction by seeing their work through.
Each child follows a personalised learning journey mapped to the National Curriculum, tailored to their level and pace rather than year group expectations. Reading, writing, oracy and maths brought to life through project themes and applied to real problems and real data — with a progress summary at the end of every Adventure.
If Edventurer feels like the right fit for your family, we’d love to hear from you. Limited spaces are available to maintain a small learning environment where every child is known and supported.
